Job summary

Calvary Riverina Private Hospital is seeking a Counsellor/MERIT Case Worker for a permanent full-time role in Wagga Wagga. You will deliver intensive case management under the MERIT program, coordinating care for defendants with alcohol or other drug issues within residential and community settings.

The role focuses on assessment, care planning and strong collaboration with MERIT and rehabilitation services to achieve positive client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Qualified in nursing or psychology with appropriate registration (AHPRA) and relevant tertiary qualification.
• Strong understanding of substance abuse and harm minimisation.
• Current Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised assessment, care planning and case management for MERIT clients.
• Develop collaborative relationships with MERIT and residential rehabilitation services.
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and strengthen pathways between MERIT and treatment services.
