Job summary

NSW Health in Bourke/Walgett is seeking a Health Clinician – Caseworker for the Magistrates Early Referral Treatment MERIT program. You'll join a Drug & Alcohol team focused on improving health and wellbeing of individuals with complex alcohol and other drug challenges.

You will conduct comprehensive assessments, deliver counselling interventions, develop evidence-based treatment plans, and coordinate complex cases across health, housing, justice and community services to help clients access

Qualifications

Comprehensive assessments conducted to support treatment planning.
Counselling interventions delivered to individuals with complex AOD challenges.
Evidence-based, person-centred treatment plans developed for each client.
Coordinate complex cases across health, housing, justice and community services.
Advocate for clients and facilitate access to detoxification, residential rehabilitation and other services.
Build strong relationships with mental health clinicians, Aboriginal organisations and community partners.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver counselling interventions.
Develop evidence-based, person-centred treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
Coordinate complex cases across health, housing, justice and community services.
Prepare reports for courts and liaise with solicitors and judicial stakeholders.
Advocate for clients and facilitate access to treatment pathways.
