Job summary

Endeavour Group is seeking a Merchandise Training Partner to design, coordinate and deliver strategic training for internal teams and suppliers. You will lead training across data platforms, ensure UAT readiness, and maintain essential documentation to support capability and seamless integration.

The role emphasizes onboarding for onshore and offshore teams, stakeholder engagement, and measuring training impact in a hybrid Sydney or Melbourne setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Merchandise Operations, Process Improvement, or related field within liquor or retail.
• In-depth understanding of merchandise and commercial practices, industry trends, process optimization, risk identification, and claims management.
• Training delivery experience or capability across diverse audiences (desirable).
• Clear, effective verbal and written communication across all levels with strong stakeholder networks.
• Leadership and collaboration with coaching and team development.

Responsibilities

• Manage training programs across data platforms and systems, partnering with Learning & Development to deliver tailored workshops, e-learning, and blended solutions across supplier, internal, and compliance areas.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to guarantee operational readiness, maintaining training manuals and supplier platform guides.
• Act as the operational lead for internal merchandise teams and suppliers, representing the Merchandise community on key projects.
• Coordinate onboarding for new team members and suppliers to ensure consistency and readiness, with ongoing coaching.
• Build relationships across Category Teams, Merchandise Assistants, L&D, and suppliers; communicate system changes clearly and resolve queries within 24 hours.
• Measure training effectiveness through feedback and metrics, addressing gaps with control checks and assessments.

As the Merchandise Training Partner within our Merchandise Support Services team, you will support Merchandise operations by designing, coordinating, and delivering strategic training and development programs for our internal teams and external suppliers.

You will act as the operational lead across data platforms and core systems, manage onboarding programs, ensure operational readiness through User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and maintain critical documentation to support team capability, knowledge sharing, and seamless business integration.

• Manage training programs across data platforms and systems, partnering with Learning & Development to deliver tailored workshops, e-learning, and blended solutions across supplier, internal, and compliance areas.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to guarantee operational readiness, ensuring operational documentation, training manuals, and supplier platform guides are current and accurate.
• Act as the operational lead for internal merchandise teams and suppliers, representing the Merchandise community on key projects to influence optimal outcomes.
• Coordinate onboarding for new team members and suppliers to ensure consistency and operational readiness, providing ongoing coaching and development support to onshore and offshore teams.
• Build effective relationships across Category Teams, Merchandise Assistants, L&D, and suppliers, communicating system changes with clarity and providing prompt query resolution within 24 hours.
• Measure training effectiveness through participant feedback and performance metrics, conducting control checks and skill assessments to proactively address learning gaps.

What do we need from you

Now let’s talk about you:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in Merchandise Operations, Process Improvement, or a related field within the liquor or retail industry.
• Merchandise & Process Expertise: In-depth understanding of merchandise and commercial practices, industry trends, process optimization, risk identification, and claims management.
• Training Delivery & Design: Demonstrated experience or strong capability in training delivery and content tailoring across diverse audiences (training delivery experience is highly desirable).
• Communication & Influencing: Clear, effective verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels, with a proven ability to leverage professional networks to solve problems and drive change.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Strong leadership and stakeholder management experience, with an authentic, pragmatic approach to coaching and team development.
