Job summary

Myer Group is seeking an experienced Merchandise Planner to join the Just Jeans Planning team in Melbourne. Reporting to the Assistant Planning Manager, you will partner with Product Managers to maximise financial performance by shaping the department plan and assortment strategy.

You will build seasonal budgets, manage OTB and inventory, forecast demand, and provide insightful analysis to drive in-season decisions across stores and online.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in merchandise planning in apparel is advantageous.
• Expertise in sales forecasting, budgeting, option planning, OTB and inventory management.
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build seasonal budgets with the product team and planning inputs.
• Develop and manage assortment plans to meet KPIs.
• Maintain accuracy of financial projections and stock levels.
• Collaborate with design and sourcing for merchandise feedback.
• Conduct pre- and post-season reviews and analyses.
• Monitor stock levels and weeks cover; support forward forecasts.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experiencedMerchandisePlanner to join our Just JeansPlanning team. Reporting to the Assistant Planning Manager, you will work as a commercial partner with the Product Managersin order tomaximise the financial performance of the brand by developing and managing the department financial plan.

About the Role

• Build the seasonal budgets in conjunction with the product team
• Build, implement and manage assortment plans to achieve department financial KPIs
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the financial projection
• Working with product design and sourcing teams to provide feedback on merchandise
• Undertakeappropriate pre & postreview preparation and analysis
• Control the department stock levels and weeks cover
• Undertake key in-season and post-season analysis
• Actualising line projections andparticipatingin forward forecasts with Planning Manager

About You

• Previousexperience in merchandise planning in apparel would beadvantageous
• Expertisein sales forecasting, budgeting,optionplanning, managing the OTB and inventory management
• Passion for retail with an analytical mind
• Able todemonstratesound relationship management and influencing skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams
• Excellent commercial and business acumen
• Excellent working knowledge of Excel
