Job summary

Sarina Russo Group is seeking a compassionate Parent Mentor for the Fairfield team on a full-time basis. You will mentor parents one-on-one, facilitate workshops, and create a welcoming learning environment to help families pursue employment or education goals.

The ideal candidate has lived parenting experience, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to inclusivity. A Certificate III+ or higher in related fields is preferred; Working with Children Check is required or willing to obtain

Qualifications

• Personal lived experience in parenting or family support, along with relevant professional experience (Employment service experience highly regarded).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse families.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others, particularly parents.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with community resources and support systems is a plus.
• Able to meet targets while maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Understanding and respect for diverse backgrounds and perspectives, promoting inclusivity.
• Precision in documentation and case management to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Proficient in Technology.
• Fluency in Arabic is preferred to support our diverse client community.

Parent Pathways is a voluntary government program to support parents/carers with children under six to take part in a pre-employment service. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Parent Mentor to join our Fairfield team on a full-time basis.

The ideal candidate will have lived experience in parenting and a passion for supporting other parents and families. As a mentor, you will work one-on-one with parents, facilitating workshops, and creating a welcoming environment for learning and growth through the support programs offered.
