Serco is seeking a passionate Mental Health Registered Nurse for the Edinburgh Health Centre in South Australia. In this role, you will deliver high-quality mental health care to Defence members, conduct fitness assessments, and manage treatment plans within a multidisciplinary team. You need an unrestricted AHPRA registration and a commitment to patient-centred care. The position offers competitive salary and predictable working hours from 07:30am to 15:30pm. About Edinburgh Health Centre

Edinburgh Health Centre is located 25km North of Adelaide, at RAAF Base Edinburgh. This super-base accommodates 3500 personnel from the Australian Army and RAAF, as well as being home to the RAAF Institute of Aviation Medicine. The health centre operates a 16 bed low dependency ward 24/7. It also provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, dental, physiotherapy, mental health, pharmaceutical and rehabilitation services. Standard operating hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).

What You’ll Do

• Deliver high-quality mental health care to Defence members
• Conduct fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care
• Undertake assessments, interventions, managing medications, formulating treatment and care plans for individuals and group education sessions
• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment where patient wellness is paramount

What You Bring

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• One of the following:
  • ACMHN credentialed
  • Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing
• Mental Health trained nurse / UK trained undergraduate Mental Health Nurse
• Minimum two years’ Post RN general registration experience within last five years in mental health within a Primary Healthcare Setting or Specialist Mental Health Setting
• Comprehensive assessment skills and experience in ‘Focussed Psychological Strategies’ and ‘Psychological Therapy’ as per Medicare Schedule
• Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
• Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)
• Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care
