Job summary

Coast & Country Primary Care (CCPC) in Dubbo, NSW, is hiring a Mental Health Nurse to join a multidisciplinary team delivering Psychological Therapies for Underserviced Populations across the Dubbo region. The role focuses on recovery, wellbeing and community participation for individuals with moderate to severe mental health challenges.

You will perform assessments, deliver brief interventions, manage risk, support physical health, and coordinate care with other health professionals.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in Australia permanently.
• WWCC required and CRC with vulnerable groups.
• First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Driver's license and access to a vehicle.
• Registration with AHPRA to practice as a Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify consumer needs, risks, strengths and goals.
• Deliver brief interventions, psychoeducation and structured psychological strategies.
• Undertake ongoing risk assessment, monitoring and safety planning.
• Support physical health through screening, health promotion and referrals.
• Assist with medication education, monitoring and support with prescribing clinicians.
• Develop and review person-centred care plans.
• Provide care coordination and access to services.
