Job summary

Defence Bank Limited is seeking a Customer Service focused Member Consultant to enhance member experiences in our Victoria branches. You will assist with consumer lending, open new memberships and savings accounts, and provide general insurance solutions to members.

You will handle calls, support branch operations, and uphold compliance standards. You will join a team that values service excellence, relationship building, and flexibility across banking activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer facing retail or administrative environments.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise with a mindset to reduce member effort.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Prior experience in banking desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Consumer lending products: contribute to the branch's lending portfolio (personal loans, credit cards, home lending opportunities).
• Open new memberships and savings/deposit accounts; provide general insurance products.
• Handle inbound/outbound calls delivering best-in-class member service.
• Assist branch operations: deposits/withdrawals, account maintenance, and service delivery.
• Adhere to policies, procedures and compliance standards.
