Job summary

Defence Bank Limited is seeking a Branch-based Member Consultant to deliver outstanding service and support to members across Australia. You will drive new memberships, handle deposits and savings accounts, and promote general insurance products while ensuring compliance and quality service.

You will be part of a busy branch environment, engaging with members to uncover needs and provide banking strategies to meet their life goals, with opportunities for professional growth and enhanced earning

Qualifications

• Experience within a customer facing retail or administrative team or similar.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize and seek improvement in the way things are done to reduce member effort.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Prior experience in banking desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Open new memberships, new savings accounts, deposit accounts and provide general insurance products to Members.
• Contribute to the branches consumer lending portfolio including personal loans, credit cards and identify home lending opportunities to mobile lenders.
• Provide the “best in class” member service for inbound and outbound calls, supporting members from all over Australia.
• Pro-actively complete branch activities such as processing over the counter transactions (deposits and withdrawals) and account maintenance.
• Adhere to current policies, procedures and compliance standards.
