Job summary

The Australian Services Union NSW & ACT Services Branch (ASU) is seeking a Member Engagement Officer for a full‑time role based in Redfern. The role focuses on customer service, emailing, calling and texting members, and providing timely information on benefits and entitlements.

You will update member records, resolve issues, and support administrative tasks while using Microsoft Office and other digital tools. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Regular in and outbound communication with members by phone and email.
• Provide members with information about benefits of their Union membership.
• Update and record member details accurately.
• Identify and resolve issues for members.
• Provide information and advice on industrial rights and entitlements.
• Identify disputes with organising or collective action potential.
• Process new membership forms.
• Respond to membership enquiries and issues.
• Administrative support and reception duties.
