Job summary

Settlement Services International (SSI Group) is a community-based organisation supporting newcomers and Australians to achieve their full potential. The role focuses on driving engagement across SSI’s network of member organisations, elevating member roles, and promoting SSI’s advocacy and public relations initiatives.

You will work across Stakeholder Relations, Government Relations, Research & Policy and Communications teams, coordinating events, education workshops, webinars and membership

• Background in marketing communication and content development
• Ability to identify emerging issues and opportunities
• High level interpersonal skills
• Ability to set priorities, plan work programs, meet deadlines
• Good problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide relationship management to SSI Members and stakeholders
• Build trusted relationships to position SSI for the future
• Collaborate with Government Relations and Policy teams on joint opportunities
• Engage in events and networking to raise SSI's profile and objectives
• Capacity building, PR and event support
• Support communications with members including updates and queries
• Coordinate member-focused activities and professional development initiatives
• Develop and deliver member-focused education workshops, webinars, events and conferences
• Work with Internal Communications to raise profile of members and their role
• Manage Member relations meetings and governance documentation
• Assist with administrative tasks including reporting and distributions
• Attend meetings and functions as delegated
