Job summary

Planit Testing in Melbourne is seeking a Junior Automation Engineer to build automation testing skills, join modern testing practices, and work with enterprise clients to deliver high-quality software. You will gain exposure to automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps-driven delivery while developing your capabilities in a supportive QA consultancy environment.

About the Role

This role is ideal for a Junior Automation Engineer looking to build on their automation testing skills and gain exposure to modern testing practices and tools.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Assist with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and release processes.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD environments, including tools such as Jenkins.
• Some experience creating or enhancing automated test frameworks.
• Exposure to testing web-based or SaaS applications.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is desirable.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
• Experience working with test environments and test data management.
• A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and passion for automation and quality engineering.
