Avant Practice Solutions is seeking a Medical Receptionist for our Box Hill, VIC team. The role offers hybrid work with a full-time 38-hour week, supporting multiple specialist practices and using Gentu/Clinic to Cloud.

You will be the front-line contact for patients and healthcare providers, ensuring accurate records and smooth operations. The ideal candidate brings customer-service excellence, strong organisation, and comfort with new software, with no weekend work.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service, administration or medical reception (desirable).
• Exceptional communication skills with a warm, professional phone manner.
• Passion for delivering outstanding customer service and helping others.
• Strong organisational skills with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confidence learning new systems and processes.
• Experience with medical practice management software or ability to learn Gentu/Clinic to Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, doctors and healthcare providers.
• Handle a high volume of patient enquiries, ~80 calls per day with empathy.
• Book, coordinate and manage appointments across specialist practices.
• Liaise with patients, referrers, hospitals and healthcare stakeholders.
• Process medical administration tasks and maintain patient records in cloud systems.
• Support efficient day-to-day operation of multiple medical practices.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture focused on service outcomes.
