Job summary

SmartClinics Manunda in Cairns offers a casual Medical Receptionist position with flexible hours between 8am and 5:30pm. You will deliver patient-focused service, manage appointments, and handle billing while supporting doctors and staff.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, computer literacy, and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and work well in a diverse team. Previous reception experience is preferred. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Medical Receptionist or similar is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.

Job description

We are seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our team at SmartClinics Manunda on a Casual basis.

This clinic offer a wide range of healthcare services for all aged patients, including but not limited to spider vein treatment, wound management, family planning and general health. SmartClinics Manunda has 5 highly experienced and dedicated doctors located in-clinic.

In this role you will:

• Deliver exceptional patient service at all times
• Efficiently and confidentially manage patient data, appointments and follow procedures
• Provide a seamless service to patients whilst ensuring clinic operations, and doctor workload is effectively managed at all times
• Process patients billings/receipts
• Assist doctors with day to day administrative support and take an active part in working closely with other team members to manage daily tasks.
• Function in a highly organised and time-efficient manner at all times.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Flexibility and able to work clinics hours between 8am and 5:30pm (availability on Thursday and Friday essential)
• Professional, friendly, confident, and courteous manner
• High work ethic and flexibility with work hours
• Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and prioritise

• Previous Medical Reception experience or similar is preferred
