Job summary

Active Family Medical Centre – Doonside NSW is seeking a friendly and detail‑oriented receptionist to be the welcoming first point of contact for patients in a dynamic healthcare setting. You will handle reception and secretarial tasks with care and professionalism, contributing to a supportive patient experience from arrival.

The role requires a minimum of 1 year in a General Practice, proficiency in Best Practice or Medical Director, and solid Word/IT skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a General Practice environment.
• Must be competent with Best Practice or Medical Director Software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and general IT skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people.
• Must have full Australian working rights.
• This position requires an immediate start.
• Applicants with no experience will not be considered for this role.

• To provide high quality reception and secretarial services to the patients, Doctors and staff at the medical centre in a caring and supportive manner.
• To maintain confidentiality of all information.
• To provide flexibility in practice staffing arrangements.
