Job summary

Pfizer Australia and New Zealand is seeking a Medical Manager for Specialty Care, Inflammation & Immunology to lead the local medical plan and engage with external stakeholders. The role emphasizes AI-enabled evidence generation, regulatory alignment, and high-impact medical leadership across ANZ.

You will report to the Oncology & Specialty Care Medical Lead, ANZ, and dedicate at least 50% of your time to external activities while shaping clinical practice and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD), pharmacy degree or PhD is required.
• 3-5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in a medical affairs role.
• Deep therapeutic area expertise with clinical research experience preferred.
• Experience with external engagements and relationships.
• Knowledge of Australian and New Zealand healthcare systems and regulatory environments.

Responsibilities

• External Engagement & Stakeholder Management – engage with HCPs, payers, regulators, and HealthTech entities while upholding ethical and compliant scientific exchange.
• Scientific communication & Insight Generation – lead interpretation of AI-enhanced evidence and communicate findings to diverse audiences.
• Cross-functional Collaboration – partner with commercial, access & value, and regulatory teams to align medical strategy.
• Compliance & Operational Standards – ensure regulatory and non-promotional standards with responsible AI governance.
• Medical Planning & Strategy – develop local medical action plan with AI-driven segmentation and predictive analytics.
• Stakeholder Leadership – serve as primary scientific contact for national stakeholders and lead medical education content.
• Strategic & Cross-functional Input – contribute to licensing, regulatory, and access strategy with medical insights.
