NSW Health Pathology at Blacktown Hospital invites applications for a Scientific Officer on a Temporary Full Time basis, up to February 2027 with potential for ongoing employment. You will contribute to a multidisciplinary laboratory team delivering diagnostic services across Haematology, Biochemistry and Transfusion.

A Bachelor degree in Science/Medical Laboratory Science is required, with experience in pathology services and proficiency with LIS, Patient Systems and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree or higher in Science/Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in delivery of pathology services within Haematology, Biochemistry and Transfusion including use of LIS, patient systems and QC systems.
• Report writing, communication skills and ability to communicate with customers, patients and staff.

Responsabilités

• Deliver operational laboratory activities, including coordination and provision of scientific and technical training.
• Review, develop and quality manage laboratory practices to ensure compliance with standards and procedures.
