Job summary

NSW Health is seeking an Operations Assistant for the Medical Imaging department at Prince of Wales Hospital. The role involves setting up equipment, positioning patients and cleaning rooms between procedures, primarily in interventional modalities like DSA.

You will also transport patients, goods and specimens across departments, contributing to efficient, high-quality patient care in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with clear spoken and written English.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to follow directions and use initiative to solve problems.
• Commitment to privacy and confidentiality of patient information.
• Capable of working under high pressure in a busy environment.
• Ability to perform required physical tasks including patient transport and manual handling.
• Basic understanding of cleaning requirements for procedure rooms.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and assist with positioning patients in interventional modalities.
• Assist with cleaning of used equipment and rooms, including terminal cleaning.
• Transport patients, goods, equipment and specimens between departments.
• Provide courteous and efficient support to clinical team during procedures.
