Glitch Productions is an independent animation studio based in Australia making original, long‑form animated shows distributed on YouTube. Our channel has over 23 million subscribers, tens of millions of views per episode, and is still growing strong. Our studio is filled with incredibly talented and passionate artists that are determined to change the way animation is produced and treated in the industry. Our biggest IP; Digital Circus, has amassed over 1.5 billion views across the entire series, and we have a lot more still to come.

About the Role

Glitch Productions is looking for a Media Distribution Manager to help manage how our content is prepared, localised, protected, and distributed across different platforms.

Working closely with our production teams, you will coordinate media deliveries and localisation, as well as manage music distribution for content originating from our productions. You will also oversee the organisation of our media assets and files, along with copyright and content protection. You will help build reliable processes around how our shows move from finished production to audiences around the world.

This role is ideal for someone who understands the operational and technical aspects of media distribution and enjoys bringing structure to complex releases and large volumes of media assets. You should be able to confidently manage the fine details behind delivering content to streaming platforms, theatrical partners, music services, and other applicable distribution channels.

What you’ll do

• Coordinate the preparation and delivery of media to video & streaming platforms, or other applicable distribution channels, ensuring all technical specifications and deadlines are met.

• Managing & overseeing the localisation team’s workflows across dubbing, subtitling, and other translated materials.

• Coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure proper delivery and transfer of materials.

• Maintain clear records of media assets, versions, masters, localised files, and delivery history to make sure distributed content is easy to track and retrieve.

• Manage music distribution for content originating from GLITCH, including release administration, registration to ensure it reaches music platforms.

• Coordinate music licensing for third-party music used in productions.

• Maintain and fill our music cue sheets and other rights-related documentation.

• Manage day‑to‑day copyright and content protection matters, including copyright claims, unauthorised uploads, leaks, and platform disputes.

• Help establish and manage external vendors and processes for any of our distribution services.

• Coordinate technical and delivery QC, resolving rejected deliveries, incorrect assets, or other distribution issues.

• Build and maintain documentation, standards, and repeatable processes for media distribution across the company.

• Act as a point of contact internally and for external vendors on distribution related requirements and issues.

• Coordinate the collection, verification, and quality control of production credits, ensuring all contributors are accurately credited across releases and distribution platforms.

What we’re looking for

• Strong understanding of media distribution workflows across video and streaming platforms.

• Strong understanding of music distribution workflows

• Familiarity with technical media specifications such as audio configurations, or video master file formats for standard delivery.

• Experience coordinating post‑production deliverables or similar release operations.

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to keep track of large volumes of files, deadlines, and requirements.

• Experience working with external vendors and partners across localisation or media.

• Familiarity with music licensing, cue sheets, or any other music‑related workflows in production.

• Understanding of content protection and common issues surrounding takedown processes or handling unauthorised distribution.

• Comfortable coordinating across multiple internal teams and external vendors to keep things moving.

• Ability to create clear documentation and repeatable processes rather than relying on ad‑hoc knowledge or one‑off solutions.

• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of distribution‑related issues from start to finish.

• Comfortable managing and supporting a small team, with the ability to delegate work, set priorities, and help build out the media distribution function as it grows.

Nice to have

• Experience working with AirTable or similar operational databases/asset tracking systems.

• Experience working in animation, gaming, entertainment, or another creative industry.

• Experience working with international distribution partners or managing multi‑territory releases.

• An understanding of or interest in the arts, animation, gaming, and/or ‘internet nerd’ culture.
