MCA Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer – Mechatronics & Automation to support the development and integration of machinery and equipment on a new engineering project. You will collaborate with engineering, workshop and project teams to translate requirements into practical automation solutions and robust hardware integration.

The role combines preliminary design and basic 3D CAD modelling with project coordination, supplier engagement and technical support through fabrication,

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with automation experience.
• Experience integrating machinery and industrial automation.
• Understanding of hydraulic systems and low‑voltage controls.
• Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, sensors and instrumentation.
• Ability to create preliminary designs and basic 3D CAD concepts.

Responsabilités

• Develop preliminary concepts, equipment layouts and system requirements.
• Support the integration of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and automation components.
• Create basic 3D CAD models to communicate concepts, equipment arrangements and clearances.
• Review technical drawings, hydraulic schematics and electrical control information.
• Coordinate project activities, schedules, deliverables and technical documentation.
• Work with suppliers to assess equipment options and confirm technical requirements.
• Liaise with engineering, workshop and site teams to resolve technical issues.
• Support testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of integrated machinery.
• Contribute to design risk assessments and identify practical improvements to safety, operation and maintainability.
