Job summary

Ventia is seeking a Mechanical Trades Person to support the SEQWater contract across the Southern Region (Redlands, Gold Coast and Scenic Rim). You will perform fault finding, repairs and servicing of mechanical equipment and work across the Seqwater network.

Applicants should be willing to undergo a medical and police check as part of recruitment. The role offers a full-time, 40-hour week with on-call allowances, a vehicle provided, and access to Ventia Academy and VenPerks.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Trade Certificate is required.
• Drivers licence is required.
• Construction white card is required.
• Good communication and problem solving skills are essential.
• First Aid – HLTAID003 is desirable.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - HLTAID001 is desirable.
• Gas test Atmosphere - MSMWHS217 is desirable.
• Confined Space Entry - RIIWHS202E, MSMPER205, MSMPER200 is desirable.
• Working at Heights - RIIWHS204E is desirable.
• Plant tickets are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform and deliver allocated work orders.
• Service, repair and inspect assets such as pumps, gearboxes, actuators, cranes & winches.
• Perform administrative tasks and document work progressions within the CMMS.
• Travel and commute to relevant assets across the network including attendance to pre-start meetings.
• Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, policy and procedures.
• Report activities relating to works planned, completed, risks and issues.

Find your further with Ventia as Mechanical Trades Person supporting our SEQWater contract.

Ventia deliver preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance along with electrical, mechanical and instrumental services across its water network, servicing 35 water treatment plants, 95 pump stations and 26 referable dams.

About The Role

The Mechanical Tradesperson purpose is to deliver workorders including fault finding, repairs and servicing and renewals of mechanical equipment across the Seqwater network.

We are looking for Mechanical Tradespeople to help cover the Southern Region (Redlands, Gold Coast and Scenic Rim).

Key duties include but are not limited to-

• Perform and deliver allocated work orders
• Service, repair and inspect assets such as pumps, gearboxes, actuators, cranes& winches etc
• Perform administrative tasks and document work progressions within the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Travel and commute to relevant assets across the network including attendance to pre-start meetings
• Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, policy and procedures
• Reporting activities relating to works planned, completed, risks and issues, with a focus on ongoing improvement of processes to support delivery.

Ideally you will have experience in the water infrastructure sector.
