Greatland is seeking an Underground Mechanical Technician to operate and assist with maintenance of the Telfer Hoisting System, dewatering and ore handling equipment. The role emphasizes safety, environment and statutory compliance, with a FIFO roster from Perth (8/6).
You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose faults, lead small teams, and interpret maintenance manuals and drawings on underground fixed plant equipment.

In this underground Mechanical Technician role you will operate and assist with maintenance of the Telfer Hoisting System, dewatering and associated Ore Handling Equipment and to comply with supervisor requests to assist with maintenance and operational requirements on an as needed basis with particular emphasis on company values, safety, environmental and statutory requirements.
Roster: 8/6, FIFO from Perth.

Telfer is a long-life gold-copper mine in the Paterson Province of Western Australia’s East Pilbara region. The operation includes both open-pit and underground mining and Australia’s third-largest gold-copper processing facility. Since commencing production in 1975, Telfer has produced over 15 million ounces of gold.
