Job summary

Qantas Group in Mascot, Sydney, is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer within the Boeing Technical Services Team to deliver professional engineering support for fleet issues.

You will evaluate continuing airworthiness, develop instructions, liaise with manufacturers and regulators, and prepare technical reports for internal and external stakeholders. The role is a 2-year fixed-term with a strong emphasis on ownership, problem-solving, and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineering degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience evaluating continuing airworthiness and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating Instructions for Continuing Airworthiness and developing engineering instructions.
• Evaluating fleet airworthiness issues to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Providing technical support for mechanical engineering issues to resolve maintenance/modification programs.
• Liaising with manufacturers, suppliers, regulators and stakeholders to address fleet asset issues.
• Analysing technical issues and preparing detailed reports for internal/external stakeholders.
