Job summary

Qantas Group is seeking an experienced leader to join the Maintenance Operations Centre (MOC) as Duty Manager on a 6 month fixed-term basis. You will lead engineering specialists, act as the primary escalation point and help balance airworthiness with operational and commercial outcomes.

You will influence key decisions across Engineering, IOC and Flight Operations, shaping strategic operational outcomes and strengthening enterprise decision making under pressure.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership and management experience.
• Strong decision maker with ability to pri oritise and mediate between conflicting demands / customers.
• Articulate two-way communicator with broad audience reach.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary escalation point and operational focal for Engineering.
• Lead a non-shift team of engineering specialists to maintain airworthiness and aircraft availability.
• Balance airworthiness, operational performance and commercial outcomes.
• Influence decisions with significant operational and commercial impact.
