Job summary

CGC Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Site Engineer for a 2-3 month contract on a major infrastructure project in Brisbane. You will join an established site team to close out mechanical works, support commissioning, and ensure handover.

The role suits someone with a Mechanical Engineering degree and 1-3 years' construction project engineering experience, strong communication and coordination skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced site environment.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1-3 years' experience in construction project engineering roles.
• Experience on commercial building and/or major infrastructure or tunnelling projects preferred.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively within an established site team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day project engineering activities on site.
• Coordinate mechanical works to ensure timely and compliant project close-out.
• Support commissioning, defect resolution, and handover processes.
• Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, quality, and safety outcomes.
• Assist with documentation, reporting, and final project deliverables.
