Job summary

Newkey Consulting is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Engineer for a permanent role on a major utilities infrastructure project on the Central Coast, NSW. You will provide on-site mechanical engineering support to delivery teams and help coordinate daily construction activities.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree and 1-2+ years post-graduate experience, with a focus on safety, quality, and collaborative teamwork. This is a permanent full-time position on site.

Newkey Consulting is partnering with a leading principal contractor delivering a major utilities infrastructure upgrade on the Central Coast, NSW.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Engineer for a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site Mechanical engineering support to project delivery teams
• Support planning, site coordination, and daily construction activities
• Monitor quality assurance and compliance requirements
• Support subcontractor management and contribute to safety, environmental and quality outcomes

About You

You are a motivated engineering professional looking to contribute to a major infrastructure project and develop your career within a supportive and high-performing team.

You will bring:

• Degree qualification in a Mechanical Engineering discipline
• 1-2+ years' post-graduate engineering experience, ideally within construction, infrastructure or a project environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Highly regarded:

• Previous site-based engineering experience
• Experience working on water or wastewater infrastructure works
• Exposure to mechanical installation, piping, pumps or process equipment
