Job summary

NewKey Consulting is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join a major utilities infrastructure upgrade on the Central Coast, NSW. You will oversee electrical subcontractor activities, ensure work aligns with drawings, timeframes, budget and quality standards, and provide technical guidance across design, procurement and delivery.

You'll engage with multidisciplinary teams, manage safety and compliance, and travel locally or interstate as required to support project delivery.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
2–4 years site engineering experience with contractor management, planning and project controls.
Experience with HV/LV equipment installation and underground cable reticulation.
Availability for local and interstate travel to support project delivery.
Water or wastewater infrastructure experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Oversee Electrical subcontractor activities across multiple project work fronts.
Oversee day-to-day EIC activities, drive progress and resolve technical issues.
Attend FATs for major electrical equipment and prepare detailed reports.
Inspect incoming HV/LV equipment for compliance, condition and readiness for handover.
Provide technical advice across electrical design, procurement and project delivery.
