Job summary

CDC Data Centres is seeking a Mechanical Services Lead to shape the performance and resilience of our ANZ data centre mechanical infrastructure, with a key focus on liquid cooling and critical cooling systems across multiple facilities.

You will review designs, mentor teams, and drive upgrades, commissioning and modernisation initiatives while upholding safety and reliability in rapidly evolving, high-density environments. Australian citizenship with ability to obtain NV1 clearance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience across data centres, industrial buildings, engineering consultancy or another complex critical infrastructure environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of cooling infrastructure such as air-cooled chillers, AHUs, pumps, VSDs and associated mechanical systems.
• Experience with liquid cooling technologies, CDUs, SFNs or similar high-density cooling solutions will be highly regarded.
• Ability to review technical designs, drawings, specifications, engineering calculations and supporting documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across mechanical, electrical, controls, fire and operational disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Subject matter expert in critical mechanical and cooling infrastructure; guide operations teams across our portfolio.
• Support development of liquid cooling solutions, including CDUs and SFNs.
• Assess mechanical designs, proposed system changes and upgrade activities to ensure resilient, practical solutions.
• Analyse and troubleshoot mechanical system performance issues with consultants, contractors and internal teams.
• Contribute to commissioning, lifecycle planning and modernisation activities across existing and new data centre environments.
• Strengthen mechanical engineering standards, procedures and knowledge sharing across the business.
