ACM Parts in Melbourne is seeking a Mechanical Parts Sales Consultant to join our team. You will respond to sales enquiries, identify required parts, and leverage our inventory to fulfil requests.

We value knowledge of cars and parts, ability to work autonomously, and comfort with computer systems. Benefits include discounts, uniforms, and wellness support.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of cars and car parts.
• Experience in a similar role is advantageous.
• Intermediate knowledge of computers and systems.

Responsibilities

• Answer sales enquiries via multiple channels promptly and politely.
• Identify required parts and check stock to fulfill requests.
• Use the inventory system to set appropriate pricing for recycled parts.
• Negotiate final pricing with customers and upsell aftermarket parts.
• Source parts from other recyclers while maintaining margins.
• Document and report activities timely and keep customer data up to date.
• Follow up on quotes and provide tracking information to customers.
• Demonstrate strong product knowledge and follow sales process to maximise revenue.

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Parts Sales Consultant to join the team!

Role responsibilities

• Answer and respond to sales enquiries via all available mediums
• Answer telephone enquiries in a timely, polite and professional manner
• Accurately identify the required parts, and identify the available stock within ACM Parts to fulfil the request
• Utilize Inventory system to establish the appropriate selling price for recycled parts
• Negotiate final pricing with customers
• Upsell aftermarket parts and extended warranties.
• Source parts from other recyclers maintaining brokered margin targets
• Ensure all documentation and reporting are processed in a timely manner
• Keep customer information accurate and up to date
• Adhere to all KPI’s and follow best sales practice and behaviour
• Follow up with customers for open quotes & providing tracking information on orders
• Demonstrate advanced product knowledge
• Follow ACM Parts sales process to maximize revenue
