ACM Parts, Australia’s largest provider of automotive parts, invites applications for a Mechanical Parts Sales Consultant in Melbourne. You’ll respond to enquiries, identify parts, and apply pricing to recycled parts while negotiating with customers.

The role requires strong car parts knowledge, autonomy, and good computer skills. We offer rewards, development, and a supportive team in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Have a strong knowledge of cars and car parts.
• Experience in a similar role (store person role advantageous).
• Intermediate knowledge of computers/systems.
• Able to work autonomously and meet Australian working rights.

Responsabilités

• Answer and respond to sales enquiries via all available mediums.
• Answer telephone enquiries in a timely, polite and professional manner.
• Identify required parts and verify stock to fulfil requests.
• Use inventory system to set prices for recycled parts.
• Negotiate final pricing with customers and upsell aftermarket parts.
• Source parts from other recyclers while meeting margin targets.
• Ensure all documentation and reporting are processed promptly.
• Keep customer information accurate and up to date.
• Follow ACM Parts sales processes to maximise revenue.

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Parts Sales Consultant to join the team!

Role responsibilities

• Answer and respond to sales enquiries via all available mediums
• Answer telephone enquiries in a timely, polite and professional manner
• Accurately identify the required parts, and identify the available stock within ACM Parts to fulfil the request
• Utilize Inventory system to establish the appropriate selling price for recycled parts
• Negotiate final pricing with customers
• Upsell aftermarket parts and extended warranties.
• Source parts from other recyclers maintaining brokered margin targets
• Ensure all documentation and reporting are processed in a timely manner
• Keep customer information accurate and up to date
• Adhere to all KPI’s and follow best sales practice and behaviour
• Follow up with customers for open quotes & providing tracking information on orders
• Demonstrate advanced product knowledge
• Follow ACM Parts sales process to maximize revenue
