Job summary

seek.com.au is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join our Brooklyn onsite maintenance team, supporting meat byproducts production. The role covers upkeep, installation and troubleshooting of production equipment to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.

Requirements include a Mechanical Trade Certificate, 5+ years in a mechanical environment, and welding/fabrication experience; Q Fever immunity or vaccine recommended; some overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

Hold a Mechanical Trade Certificate.
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a mechanical environment.
Q Fever immune (or willing to vaccinate).
Welding, Boiler Making, and Fabrication experience.

Responsibilities

Onsite mechanical work – welding as required.
Undertake servicing and preventative maintenance of machinery, plant and equipment.
Fault finding and repairs on manufacturing equipment.
Liaising with other trades, contractors, maintenance and production management.
Update and maintain preventative maintenance records.
