Job summary

Blackbook Executive Pty is seeking a Maintenance Fitter for a large meat processing operation in NSW. Immediate start, permanent full-time with a 6-day fortnight roster.

You’ll perform preventative maintenance, fault-finding and breakdown repairs to keep plant equipment running smoothly. The role requires a Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent, plus experience in manufacturing or food processing, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical) or an equivalent trade qualification.
• Experience as a Maintenance Fitter in manufacturing, food processing, or FMCG is preferred.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilities are essential.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and rotating equipment is required.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team while upholding safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Preventative and reactive maintenance on processing equipment.
• Fault finding and breakdown response.
• Mechanical repairs and troubleshooting on production lines.
• Work with pneumatic, hydraulic and conveying systems.
• Identify improvements to raise plant reliability and performance.
• Support production teams to minimise downtime and maintain safety and housekeeping.
