Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited is seeking a Mechanical Leading Hand to lead maintenance at our Jundee & Thunderbox Operations, FIFO from Perth on an 8 days on / 6 days off rotation. You will guide the maintenance team to safely meet company standards and improve plant reliability.

The role requires a mechanical trade qualification, strong leadership, and experience with fixed plant equipment. Competitive remuneration with quarterly bonuses and FIFO benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Similar fixed plant leading hand experience.
• Experience with fault-finding and diagnostics.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment (highly regarded).

Responsibilities

• Lead Maintenance Team to ensure safe and productive work practices.
• Execute work per schedule, scope, quality standards and timelines.
• Order parts for Work Orders and resolve issues promptly.
• Provide input into mechanical improvements of the processing plant.
• Coach and develop team members to improve performance and productivity.

Northern Star Resources has exciting leadership opportunities at our Jundee & Thunderbox Operationsfor a dynamic and drivenMechanical Leading Handworking FIFO ex Perth on8 days on 6 days offrotation. The Mechanical Leading Hand reports to the Mechanical Supervisor, and the primary role is to assist in leading the Maintenance Team in a safe and productive work environment by ensuring all work practices/procedures meet company safety & operational standards within the statutory standard

What you can look forward to:

• Carry out maintenance activities on all Fixed Plant Equipment as directed, in a safe and efficient manner, whilst adhering to Company Standards, Policies and Procedures.
• Execute the work in accordance with the schedule, scope, quality standards and within agreed timeframes.
• Order parts and materials for Work Orders as directed by the Mechanical Supervisor and escape any issues in a timely manner.
• Provide input into mechanical improvements of the processing plant.
• Assist in managing performance and productivity of the team, including coaching and development to employees of a lower level.

Qualifications:

• Relevant Mechanical Trade Qualification
• Valid C Class Australian Drivers Licence
