Job summary

Northern Star Mining Services Limited is seeking an experienced Fixed Plant Boilermaker to join the Thunderbox operation on a FIFO basis from Perth, operating on an 8 days on and 6 days off roster. The role focuses on planning and safely executing both scheduled and unscheduled boilermaker maintenance for the Process Plant.

• Create work requests in Pronto and review drawings/designs as needed.
• Receive daily instructions from supervision and Leading Hand.

About the role:

Northern Star has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fixed Plant Boilermaker to join our Thunderboxoperations, with a preference towork FIFO ex Perth on an8 days on, 6 days off roster. The Fixed Plant Boilermaker reports to the Mechanical Supervisor, and the primary role isto ensure that all scheduled and unscheduled boilermaker maintenance activities for the Process Plant are properly planned and executed in a safe and efficient manner.

• Ensure that all scheduled and unscheduled boilermaker maintenance activities for the Process Plant are properly planned and executed in a safe and efficient manner.
• Taking a leading role during shutdowns to execute plans and monitoring the work quality to ensure good reliability of equipment is achieved.
• Maintain statutory records for all equipment in the fixed plant and display a clear commitment to safety, seeking to eliminate or control the risks of injury and/or damage to equipment.
• Create work requests in Pronto based upon inspections with appropriate priorities assigned to ensure services are maintained & review and update drawings/design details.
• Receive and discuss daily instructions from Supervisor and Leading Hand

• Experience The successful applicant will have previous boilermaker experience within the mining industry and the ability to work unsupervised with high attention to detail and strong communication skills. A demonstrated commitment to team building and safety focus is highly regarded.
• Qualifications: The successful applicant will have a Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence and a relevant Australian Recognised Trade Qualification
