Job summary

Macadamia Farm Management is seeking a hands-on fitter to support the maintenance, installation and repair of hydraulic and mechanical systems across our macadamia farming operations. The role involves assisting with new machinery development, assembling components, and working with a collaborative workshop team.

You will operate in a dynamic farm environment near Bundaberg, with opportunities to learn, progress and contribute to modern farming technology.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Fitter or highly skilled hands-on experience.
• Strong hydraulic experience (installation, commissioning and repairs).
• Familiarity with engineering drawings and fabrication standards.

Responsibilities

• Hydraulic component installation, system commissioning and repairs.
• Assist with development of new machinery and equipment for farm operations.
• Mechanical assembly of components on harvesting and related equipment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to meet specifications and standards.
• Support general repairs and maintenance across farm machinery.
• Share knowledge and support other workshop team members.

Location: Welcome Creek, QLD (15 minutes from Bundaberg)

Pay: Competitive rate based on skills and experience (negotiated with the successful candidate)

Hours: minimum 38 hours per week
