Job summary

New edge group is seeking an experienced Mechanical HVAC Project Manager in Queensland to lead commercial and industrial HVAC projects from handover to commissioning. You will manage on-site teams and subcontractors, ensure safety, and work with engineers and estimators to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires strong leadership, site execution, and a solid understanding of project scopes, cost reporting, and contracts.

Qualifications

• Requires tertiary Mechanical Engineering or HVAC trade background.
• Diploma in Project Management is an advantage for tradies.
• Experience managing Commercial/Industrial HVAC projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and support to your team.
• Manage on site workers and sub-contractors.
• Understand and implement project Scope of Works.
• Ensure WHS compliance and safety focus.
• Forecast project trajectory and budget.
• Report project costs accurately.
• Handle variation and contract negotiations.
• Deliver projects from sales handover to commissioning.
• Coordinate with project engineers and estimating team.

Skills and experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, or trade qualifications in HVAC. The addition of a Diploma in Project Management for those who have a trade background would be advantageous.
• Experience with project managing works in the commercial / industrial construction sector.
• Must hold a QBCC license, trade or supervisor.
