Job summary

R8D Industries is seeking Mechanical Fitters, Boilermakers & Intermediate Riggers for project and shutdown maintenance across multiple mine sites in Queensland. We offer roster options and travel opportunities across QLD with consistent work into 2027.

We value tradespeople who take pride in their work, look after each other, and want to be part of a fast-growing team. Requirements include a Trade Certificate, Driver’s Licence, HRWL, WAH / CSE / GTA, Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical;

Qualifications

• Trade certificate required for Mechanical Fitters or Heavy Fabrication.
• Current Driver’s Licence is mandatory.
• HRWL and Coal Board Medical where applicable.
• WAH/CSE/GTA and Standard 11 are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Project and Shutdown maintenance across multiple mine sites
• Mechanical Fitters, Boilermakers & Intermediate Riggers required (limited positions)
• Well-organised shuts/projects with proper support
• Opportunities to roll from site to site

The Work

• Project and Shutdown maintenance across multiple mine sites
• Mechanical Fitters, Boilermakers & Intermediate Riggers required (limited number of positions)
• Well-organised shuts/projects, realistic expectations, and proper support
• Opportunities to roll from site to site — not one-and-done

The Roster

• Shutdown rosters and some 7/7 rosters
• Consistent upcoming work into 2027
• Travel opportunities across QLD sites

The Money

• $65 – $70 per hour (depending on experience & role)
• Super paid on all hours worked
• Paid correctly, on time, every time
