Job summary

Dark Knight Engineering is seeking a capable maintenance engineer to provide technical and engineering support, test mechanical systems, and ensure maintenance meets high standards. You will work on large shutdowns, planned installations, and plant relocations in NSW.

Ideal candidates hold Cert III Mechanical Fitting or Cert III Heavy Fabrication, with 4+ years experience, strong problem-solving, and a safety-first mindset. White Card and height/confined space tickets preferred.

You will be responsible for providing technical and engineering support to effectively deliver on time and on budget, operational work schedules/activities that meet client expectations and are compliant with legislative requirements, SOP's, company policies and objectives. You will be responsible for testing mechanical systems and ensuring that all maintenance activities are completed to the highest possible standard. You will be scheduled for large shutdowns, planned installation, plant relocation, and maintenance projects. Regular and permanent shifts are available too.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and engineering support to deliver operational work schedules/activities on time and on budget

• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed to the highest possible standard
• Work on large shutdowns, planned installation, plant relocation, and maintenance projects

About you

• Australian recognised trade certification (Cert III in Mechanical Fitting or Cert III Heavy Fabrication), with the ability to produce trade certificate or equivalent papers
• Minimum 4 years' experience
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• Strong commitment towards safety and quality
• Motivated and hardworking with a professional attitude

• White Card essential
• Either has or be prepared to obtain a current Working at Heights ticket (issued within 2 years)
• Either has or be prepared to obtain a current Confined Space ticket (issued within 2 years)
