Job summary

Allied Recruitment is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters and Assemblers for workshop-based roles in Perth, WA. Work across manufacturing, engineering, mining, and heavy equipment sectors on mechanical builds, assemblies, repairs, and fit-outs.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical aptitude, experience reading drawings, and hands-on use of hand and power tools. Casual opportunities with potential to transition to permanent roles, Monday–Friday, with consistent full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Mechanical fitters/assemblers with trade background preferred, strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience reading engineering drawings and following technical instructions
• Proficiency with hand and power tools in a workshop environment
• Safety-focused with good teamwork and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Mechanical assembly, installation, and fit-out of equipment and components
• Servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance on machinery
• Working from drawings, specs, and instructions
• Hydraulic and pneumatic system installation, servicing, and troubleshooting
• Mechanical fitting of components, assemblies, and structures
• Use of hand and power tools in a workshop
• Quality checking and maintaining workmanship standards
• Collaborating with workshop and production teams
