Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting is essential.
• Proven experience in mechanical fitting, maintenance or equipment repairs.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and repair industrial machinery and heavy equipment.
• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults and equipment issues.
• Assemble, fit and repair mechanical components and machinery.
• Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• Inspect and replace bearings, gearboxes, motors and worn components.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
• Assist with machinery installations and equipment upgrades.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environment.

• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Confident using workshop tools and mechanical equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Highly Regarded:

• Experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance
• Background in heavy equipment or concrete mixing machinery
• Experience in aluminium manufacturing or metal processing
• Knowledge of automated production equipment and machinery
