Job summary

Workforce Success is seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter / Assembly Fitter for a hands-on workshop role with a leading Australian machinery manufacturer in Stapylton. The successful candidate will assemble specialised automated machinery, read drawings, and contribute to installation and testing in a safety-conscious team environment.

The role offers full-time hours with overtime, a Monday-Thursday 6:00am–2:30pm and Friday 6:00am–12:00pm schedule, and a permanent opportunity.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Mechanical assembly and fitting of machinery and components.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work hands-on.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical assembly and fitting of machinery and components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Use hand, power and pneumatic tools.
• Assist with machinery fit-up, installation and testing.
• Identify and report assembly or quality issues.
• Maintain a safe and organised workshop.
