Job summary

Core Talent is seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter for a permanent afternoon shift in a Sydney pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. You will help keep production equipment running reliably, perform preventative maintenance, and respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime.

Your duties include preventive/reactive maintenance, fault finding, bearing/belt/chain changes, and coordinating with production and electrical teams while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance tasks are required.
• Fault finding and breakdown repairs on production equipment.
• Experience with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors and automated machinery.
• Adherence to safety and quality standards in a regulated environment.
• Maintain maintenance records and complete work orders.

Mechanical Fitter – Afternoon Shift | $52/hr + Loading + Super

Sydney | Pharmaceutical Manufacturing | 3pm–11pm

We’re looking for aqualified Mechanical Fitterto join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing facility on a permanent afternoon shift.

You’ll be responsible for keeping production equipment running reliably, completing preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance
• Fault finding and breakdown repairs
• Working on conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors and automated machinery
• Bearing, belt, chain and seal replacements
• Equipment adjustments, servicing and changeovers
• Assisting with machinery upgrades and improvements
• Completing maintenance records and work orders
• Working closely with production and electrical teams
• Maintaining high safety and quality standards

About You

• Mechanical Fitter trade qualification
• Previous manufacturing/production maintenance experience
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
• Hands-on experience with production machinery
• Good understanding of preventative maintenance
• Strong safety and quality focus
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

Pharmaceutical, FMCG, food or other highly regulated manufacturing experience is highly regarded.
