Job summary

Komatsu in New South Wales seeks a skilled tradesperson to overhaul AC and DC electric motors used in surface and underground mining equipment. You will join a highly skilled mechanical fitter team that values quality, safety, and reliability.

This long-term, stable role offers a set roster with day shift options, a 4-day week or 9-day fortnight, a yearly bonus scheme, and generous benefits including health, training and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate or equivalent.
• Experience in overhauling electrical motors.
• Experience dismantling and inspecting electrical motors.
• Forklift and dogging certificates are highly regarded.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.

• Read and understand technical drawings to support maintenance.

The role:

You’ll be carrying out overhauls on AC and DC electric motors from surface and underground mining equipment including shuttle cars and continuous miners.

You don’t necessarily need to have flameproofing experience, but if you do, you’ll hit the ground running.

You’ll be joining a highly talented team of mechanical fitters that pride themselves on their work ethic and quality outputs.

Quals & experience requirements:

• Trade certificate.
