Job summary

Brockman Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join our Williamstown, Victoria project. The role covers installation, assembly, maintenance and repair of mechanical components on site.

The successful candidate will read fabrication drawings, work with pipe fitting and assembly on large steel structures, and maintain a strong focus on quality workmanship and safety. A White Card and relevant high-risk licences are required, with pre-employment checks and mobilisation readiness.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent.
• Experience in tank construction, petrochemical or refinery environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and fabrication drawings.
• Experience with mechanical assembly, pipe fitting, and installation on large steel structures.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Current White Card (Construction Induction).
• Available to start 11 November 2026.
• Confined Space and Working at Heights certifications.
• Valid High Risk Work Licence (e.g., EWP, Forklift, dogging).
• Valid Electrical Spotter ticket.
• Basic welding skills.
• First Aid certification.

• Previous experience in tank construction, petrochemical or refinery environments.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical and fabrication drawings.
• Experience with mechanical assembly, pipe fitting, and installation on large steel structures.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Current White Card (Construction Induction)
• Available to start 11 November 2026
• Confined Space and Working at Heights certifications
