Job summary

Progress Rail is seeking a skilled trades professional in Queensland to perform overhaul and repairs on locomotive rotating equipment, traction motors, bogies and engines. The role requires reading technical drawings, teamwork, good communication and a willingness to train further.

Overtime and shift work are part of the role, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality. Ideal candidates hold mechanical trade qualifications and have experience in heavy maintenance or asset management

About the role

This position requires the successful candidateto perform overhaul and repairs on Locomotiverotating equipment, traction motors, bogies, engines and their related components, depending on the area assigned and where your skills are best suited.

Skills and experience

• Trade qualifications (Mechanical or suitable related disciplines).
• Previous experience working within a heavy maintenance/ asset management environment preferred but not essential.
