Job summary

UGL is seeking a hands-on Technician in Brisbane, Australia to diagnose, service, repair and maintain critical assets including fuel storage and transfer systems. You will work 38 hours per week in a blue-collar role under the Maintenance Supervisor, with options for travel to remote north QLD locations featuring overtime.

Requires mechanical trade qualifications and fixed-plant maintenance experience; confided-space and heights tickets are preferred, plus Australian citizenship and police check

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in mechanical maintenance is required.
• Experience in fixed plant maintenance, preferably fuel services or Oil & Gas.
• Confined space and working at heights tickets are preferred.
• Australian citizenship and the ability to pass a police check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair and maintain critical assets and equipment such as fuel storage and fuel transfer systems.
• Operate in a hands-on role reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Job description

he Opportunity

This is a hands-on role giving you the opportunity to work on technically challenging systems, long term stability and skill development in a structured environment.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your primary focus will be diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining our critical assets and equipment, such as fuel storage and fuel transfer systems.

Hours

38-hour work week in a 'blue collar' role supporting a strong work-life balance.

• Monday - Thursday: 6:30am - 3pm
• Friday - 6:30am - 1pm *EARLY FINISH ON A FRIDAY*
• There's also the option to do a week of travel each month to remote places in north QLD, where you'll do 12-hour days and pick up decent overtime (time + half for first 2 hours, then double time).

Requires

• Relevant mechanical trade qualifications
• Proven experience working in fixed plant maintenance (fuel services or Oil & Gas preferred)
• Confined space and working at heights tickets (preferred)
• Australian citizenship and ability to pass a police check.
