Job summary

UGL Limited is recruiting for a full-time permanent role based at RAAF Base Tindal. You will receive a base salary with Super, overtime, penalties and allowances, and participate in a structured training program while being fully trained even if you lack prior defence or fuel industry experience.

The role covers day, afternoon and night shifts with notable night shift loading during exercises; you will work on base with a focus on growth and stability in a secure project environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid driver’s licence; HR or HC desirable but not essential at entry.
• Australian citizenship and ability to pass a police check.

• Monitor and maintain fuel quality through regular sampling and testing.
• Ensure fuel quality, compliance, volume, and availability using systems like JFIMS and SCADA; ideal for someone comfortable with technology.

The Opportunity

In this full-time permanent role, you can expect the following:

• Payment structure made up of base + Super + Overtime + Penalties + Allowances.
• Structured training and development program, prior experience in defence or the fuel industry isn’t required; you’ll be fully trained.
• Secured key projects ensuring stable and consistent work with a focus on growth.
• Based at RAAF Base Tindal

Hours

This role includes a mix of day, afternoon, and night shifts, with night shifts mainly during exercise periods (around 3 months each year). Shifts are 8 hours with a paid 20‑minute crib break. Typical shift times are:

Day: 6am to 3pm

Afternoon: 3-11pm (20% loading on ordinary hours)

Night: 11pm-7am (30% loading on ordinary hours)
