Job summary

UGL is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for Hazardous Areas at RAAF Base Williamtown. This hands-on role focuses on diagnosing, servicing, repairing and maintaining critical assets, including fuel storage and transfer systems, with support to obtain EEHA qualifications.

You will work a 38-hour week in a blue-collar environment, with option for travel within NSW region and overtime. Candidates must have EEHA certification, fixed plant maintenance experience, and relevant safety tickets;

Qualifications

• EEHA certification required.
• Proven experience in fixed plant maintenance (fuel services or Oil & Gas preferred).
• Confined space and working at heights tickets (preferred).
• Australian citizenship and ability to pass a police check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair and maintain assets and equipment, including fuel storage and fuel transfer systems.
• Work under a hands‑on role in a structured environment with opportunities to develop hazardous area capabilities.
• Report to Maintenance Supervisor and support with 38‑hour week in a blue‑collar setting.

Maintenance Electrician - Hazardous Areas

x1 positions available - RAAF Base Williamtown.

This is a hands-on role giving you the opportunity to work on technically challenging systems, long-term stability and skill development in a structured environment. You'll build your expertise in specialised electrical work, with support to obtain your EEHA qualification, opening the door to highly sought-after hazardous area capabilities.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your primary focus will be diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining our critical assets and equipment, such as fuel storage and fuel transfer systems.

Hours: 38-hour work week in a 'blue collar' role supporting a strong work-life balance.

Monday - Thursday: 6:30am - 3pm

Friday - 6:30am - 1pm *EARLY FINISH ON A FRIDAY*

There's also the option to do 3-4 days of travel each month to places within the NSW region, where you'll do longer days and pick up decent overtime (time + half for first 2 hours, then double time).

Requires:

• EEHA certified
• Proven experience working in fixed plant maintenance (fuel services or Oil & Gas preferred)
