Job summary

PHILLIP RILEY PROJECTS PTY LTD in Sydney NSW seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team. You will conduct tests of mechanical systems, collect and analyse data, and assemble and install mechanical assemblies to support Mechanical Engineers and Technologists.

Key tasks include selecting tools, assembling and installing assemblies, estimating material costs, and performing field and lab tests.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role.
• Experience with mechanical systems testing and data analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Select tools and equipment.
• Assemble and install mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools and controls, and hydraulic power systems.
• Estimate material costs and quantities, and machine requirements.
• Perform and direct field and laboratory tests.
• Collect and analyse data, carry out complex computations and prepare diagrams.
• Organise and supervise inspection and maintenance of machines and plant.
• Ensure designs and finished work meet specifications, regulations and contract provisions.
