Job summary

PHILLIP RILEY PROJECTS PTY LTD – Canberra, ACT, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and verify mechanical and structural systems across multiple sites. You will develop mechanical and process plans through development, qualification and acceptance testing, reviewing specifications to produce robust layouts.

The role requires resolving complex problems, managing activities across sites, and delivering reliable engineering solutions to improve safety and plant performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year’s experience.
• Ability to problem solve and understand complex problems; incumbent must be able to resolve situations that demand solutions.
• Capability to manage mechanical engineering activities across multiple sites simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Design and verify mechanical and structural systems.
• Develop mechanical and process plans through development, qualification, and acceptance testing.
• Review specifications and other data to develop mechanical layouts.
• Identify and drive initiatives to improve MTBF and equipment availability.
• Perform RCA including facilitation into downtime events and implement corrective actions.
